what about apostalic succession churches Is there an advantage to going to a apostalic congeration?? currently i am attending a carvery chapel, and i do like it line upon line -- teaching-- but it is not spirit filled like the "vine yard" where i also go

This gives some assurance that our ministries are valid and Apostolic, as opposed to some graduate of a Bible school opening his own church and teaching who knows what. It doesn't mean that other churches are all wrong or worthless, but it has an advantage that I hope I've conveyed to you in this brief reply.

How does one know their pastor is from the continuous line of unbroken ordinations or the physical touch of laying of hands? How accurate are the records of linages? Of course, you could theorize that some County Clerk in the 1800s 'phonied up' the record somewhere or other, and your great-great-great grandfather actually isn't who you think...but how likely is that? And these lines of "Apostolic Succession" have been even better documented than the typical family tree. Did somewhere along the line a bishop actually not lay his hands on the candidate (it only takes one for a valid ordination, even though three is the usual practice) or did one of them in the first century use words we cannot verify? We could ask those questions, but I assure you that every church that claims Apostolic Succession can produce the lineage just as you produce a legal document when selling your house, etc. One more thing. Any pastor of today has been ordained by a bishop who is in multiple lines of succession because of the usual practice of having three bishops to lay hands on any new one, so even if there were some irregularity somewhere along the way, it would probably not affect anything. Most of the lines are posted somewhere online, as a matter of fact, so there's no secret being made of them.
